I am a therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy in private practice. I am a registered and accredited member of BACP (British Association of Counselling Practice) and a member of UKATA (United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis). I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Practice having completed 4 years of psychotherapy training. I have extensive experience working with adults and young people with a wide range of severe mental ill-health, distressing life experiences and ongoing emotional worries.
Over the past ten years, I worked as a volunteer counsellor for the national charity Mind.
Additionally for 2 years I volunteered as a counsellor for the national charity Place2Be working with school children and at the Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre working with children and adults. I was also an Associate Counsellor at West Kent Mind and ran adult group courses on Managing Anxiety and Managing Depression, as part of Mind's Coping with Life programme, based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.

I work in accordance with the Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice of these professional bodies and this includes having regular supervision with other experienced professional UKCP psychotherapists, and engaging in regular training and other professional development activities.
My therapy room is in a tranquil, garden setting offering a safe, confidential environment.
